I was tired. I couldn't do it anymore, even if I have nothing. I had to leave if me and my kids were ever going to have a chance. I don’t want them to think it’s ok to treat women that way. Now I’m not embarrassed to talk about it because I’m a survivor. I hope sharing my experience with others gives someone in an abusive relationship the courage to call the YWCA. It could save their life.
