  • Emphasizing the unique skill sets and communication structures required to work with Limited English Proficient (LEP) survivors and interpreters.
  • Creating best practices surrounding interpretation of violence and abuse, and the key role of the advocate/professional in controlling these conversations while emphasizing survivor agency.
  • Discussion of frequent barriers faced when working with an interpreter and how to address them during a client interview or interaction.
