Eliminating racism and empowering women is what the YWCA is all about. Our recognition programs highlight the women who already have made great achievements and are making Cincinnati a better place to live and work.

 

 

Career Women of Achievement

Upwards of 75 women are nominated to be Career Women of Achievement each year. The event has evolved into the YWCA’s largest fundraising event, sponsored by 150 companies and organizations each year.

Rising Star Leadership Program

The YWCA Rising Star Leadership Program empowers and equips high-performing women to become equity leaders. This unique development experience strengthens leadership skills and prepares participants for non-profit board service while connecting them

 

Scholarships

Charlotte Schmidlapp Fund Scholarship

Created to provide financial support to women who are participating in YWCA programs to complete their educations in order to secure employment and financial stability and achieve independence and self-sufficiency.

Mamie Earl Sells Scholarship

The YWCA Mamie Earl Sells Scholarship Fund was established in 1993 to provide financial assistance and support to an outstanding African-American female Greater Cincinnati high school senior entering a post-secondary institution.
