The YWCA film screening series was created to promote meaningful dialogue by following each screening with an interactive panel.
Thursday, July 20, 2017 - The YWCA Greater Cincinnati partnered with University of Cincinnati's Office of Diversity & Inclusion to present a screening of Hidden Figures, followed by an panel discussion. This event for girls, parents, educators, and organizational decision-makers provided interactive dialogue on how to inspire and support girls and women in STEM careers.
Race to Execution
Wednesday September 21, 2016 - The YWCA Greater Cincinnati partnered with Women In Film, the University of Cincinnati College of Law and Center for Race and Gender Social Justice to host a screening and panel discussion of Rachel Lyon's film Race to Execution - a powerful documentary on race and the death penalty. September 30, 2015 – The YWCA of Greater Cincinnati partnered with the University of Cincinnati Office of Diversity & Inclusion, CRGSJ & the University of Cincinnati College of Law to bring a screening of the film Hate Crimes in The Heartland to Cincinnati. This film addresses racial tension and hate crimes in Tulsa, Okla., over a period of several years. Following the film, a panel discussion was held featuring local lawmakers and advocates of racial justice, including director Rachel Lyon.
