Advocacy

The YWCA of Greater Cincinnati is on a mission to ensure that women and girls within our communities locally, regionally and nationally are afforded equitable opportunities. Our Advocacy and Communications committee is working with our newly hired Advocacy Manager to streamline our advocacy priorities and will continue supporting initiatives that condemn racial profiling and violence against women.

Our current advocacy activities include our Father’s Day campaign, which encourages local men to advocate for women and girls in our community by making a donation and pledging to teach young men that violence against women and girls is never acceptable. We are dedicated to promoting Racial Justice via advocacy efforts and through several initiatives including the annual Heart to Heart breakfast, Rising Stars and Beyond Diversity programs.

Check back here for more information on our advocacy priorities as they are established. For more information about how you can be an advocate for women and girls, contact Advocacy Manager Desiré Bennett at dbennett@ywcacin.org.
